Flatiron Health
Flatiron Health tapped Quincy Weatherspoon as the company’s new vice president and general manager of Flatiron Point of Care Solutions. In the role, he will oversee the group’s network of oncology practices and point of care oncology products. Weatherspoon was formerly the VP of sales and marketing at Flatiron.
“It’s critical to Flatiron’s mission to continue delivering market-leading technology to independent oncology clinics across the U.S.,” Weatherspoon said in a statement. “Flatiron is at a transformative point in its trajectory, I’m honored to continue supporting the point of care business and assisting our partners in providing the best possible patient care.”
Weatherspoon has spent over 17 years in health tech and medical devices, with the last 15 years serving in global commercial leadership roles across multiple healthcare markets and spaces. Quincy’s broad experience base over a 20+ year career has allowed him to hone his skill as a results oriented proven leader with strong acumen for sales and marketing leadership, strategic planning, financial analysis, and growth acceleration.
In addition to his role at Flatiron, Quincy actively serves on the board of the Georgia Transplant Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Ohio Northern University with a focus on finance and marketing and obtained an MBA from the University of Cincinnati in finance.
City of Hope
Simon Nazarian will join the organization as chief digital and technology officer. In his role, Nazarian will lead City of Hope’s overall technology strategy, with a focus on growing the organization’s digital innovation, AI and advanced analytics efforts.
Nazarian joins City of Hope after serving for four years as chief information officer at Optum Health-Care Delivery, one of America’s leading health care providers and health plans. He brings more than 25 years of experience developing innovative strategies and leading large transformational initiatives for Optum, McKinsey and Company, Kaiser Permanente, Sony Pictures Entertainment and other large companies. In his new role, Nazarian will be responsible for evolving City of Hope’s technology and digital ecosystem, with the goal of enabling discoveries in the fight against cancer and enhancing the overall patient and care team experience.

RhythmX AI
RhythmX AI, a generative AI-native company with a precision care platform for doctors, announced that Nathan Gnanasambandam has joined as vice president of AI. Gnanasambandam was United Health’s former VP of data science and operational intelligence.
Gnanasambandam has been instrumental in knitting together research pursued through DARPA, IBM and NSF funding to deliver frontline applications at scale, encompassing the needs of health systems, payors and patients. He has also served in leadership positions focused on AI ethics, information security, and HITRUST/HIPAA certification, further broadening his comprehensive experience.
Gnanasambandam’s Vice President of AI role includes spearheading the development, enhancement and scaling of RhythmX AI solutions to health systems and physicians nationwide. Weaving together his research and AI ethics background, he leads the AI architecture for RhythmX AI’s enterprise platform and oversees responsible practices for deploying AI in healthcare. Gnanasambandam will also grow RhythmX AI’s data and technology partnerships, and will play a leading role in the further expansion of the AI team.

> Cylinder, the employer-sponsored benefit for digestive care management, has expanded its leadership and tapped Jared Scharen as its new COO.

> John McGrath has joined Nourish, a food as medicine platform, as its first chief financial officer.
