Responding to the burgeoning field of digital health, the U.S. FDA reported the creation of a new Digital Health Advisory Committee that it expects to be up and running in 2024. The group will help the agency address the wide range of issues surrounding some of the fastest growing technologies, many propelled by the pandemic, including artificial intelligence/machine learning, augmented reality, virtual reality, digital therapeutics, decentralized trials, patient-generated health data, wearables, remote patient monitoring, cybersecurity and software.
